I have been a HALO volunteer for 8 years. I volunteer most of my time in the Resource & Respite Center. I truly love working with the guests. Some guests come in beaten down, broken and without hope, but I love being there for them, encouraging them, give them a hug, a tissue and someone to talk to. We help them work on their journey to being on their own. The best part of each day I volunteer, is putting a smile on someone’s face. I just love volunteering at HALO. It is a very rewarding place to volunteer.
