A Rising Need…
Just the other day, we were faced with a heart-wrenching decision: 11 families came to our doorsteps, and we could only take in a few, leaving others with no place to go. At Halo, we always strive to provide shelter and food to every individual in need, but the demand is growing.
Our Current Reality
The number of mothers with children coming to us has reached an all-time high. Our desire is that no one is turned away due to lack of space.
Introducing “The Make Room” Campaign
To address this urgent need, we are proud to launch “The Make Room” campaign. Our commitment is unwavering:
- Office Transformation: We are repurposing some of our offices to provide additional sleeping quarters.
- Dorm Expansion: Our dorms are being enlarged to accommodate more families in both our emergency shelter and our Journey of Hope program.
- Child-Safe Flooring: Our floors are painted concrete which permits paint to chip, we want to keep our kids safe
